Anybody got their Liteon 24x burner to burn cdg files properly?

I think if you search the posts here and the archives about the Liteon 24x you will find that all Liteon 24x burners are not capable of burning CD+G, regardless of the the firmware or burnware.

My m8 burns karaoke on 24x liteon with 4.0a although the cd&g option will be greyed out it works :)

thanks to the two guys, so I guess Liteon works..

Anyhow, i realized it was my DVD player incapable of playing cdgs, i didnt know beforehand.

I only realized that, when i also downloaded a player to my pc and there i realized, it played the cd fine

So Liteon burner actually *works*.

HUH??? doesn't keymaster say it doesn't work.

No disrespect m8 but there's little point in asking a question then ignoring the advice your given.

I have the 24X liteon(with latest firmware) & cdrwin can't even find my burner, so in my experience it doesn't work

I would say if the ability to burn cd+g is partically important to you choose a different writer.

Don't you just love these my m8 stories :)

I guess with it greyed out you can still burn copies but not compilations. The point is however, some Lite-ons seem to burn CD+G and some don't, so I don't think it's correct to simply say "so I guess Liteon works".

I've got to agree with Egotomb, if you don't already have a Lite-on don't buy one for CD+G (unless you like taking chances).

i have a liteon as well m8 but it will not do cdg i use my trusty old plextor ,egotomb upgrade ur cdrwin to 3.8d or 4.0a then it will recognise ur liteon.
