Taking it for granted that the Graphic subcode is actually on the disc in question then I hope the following is of some help.
These players and the very similar JVC models can be very fussy about the burner used and also the type of disc used.
I suggest trying Princo or Postech or Taiyo Yuden discs would be your best bet.

Try using Discplanet 80min cdrs. Very cheep and will work fine in both JVC and RSQ players. Also what burner are you using, I find that yamaha's have given me problems when burning cdg for these machines but my plextor will happily burn cdg at 16x and work a treat.

Hope this helps.

But how many JVC / RSQ players have you tried all these different Yamaha burnt discs on.

These cdg players are very sensitive to the brand of media you use. I recommend buying several single disks of different brands and trying them until hopefully u find the one that works.

I personally have used four different players with no problem, my mate has about 20.
