i burned 1 with clonecd with my liteon 24102b wich is not cd+g compattible in cdrwin. it worked perfect!!! at 12x. then a friend of mine burnt 1 with his older hp 8100? using clonecd and his worked perfect! so i think the way clone works? may even work with all unsupported cd+g cdrws? as long as it is clonecd compatible...hope this helps..

The reader and writer must be capable of reading and write CD+G, whether they are supported by CDRWIN or not. If the data is not feed to the read buffer or burned from the burn buffere CloneCD will not be able to help. Many CD-ROMs/DVD-ROMs can read the subchannel data require for CD+G (R-W subcode). CDRWIN only approves readers that pass it's tests.
PlexTools (or PlexManager) can also be used like CloneCD to make straight copies of CD+G. Not sure how a CD can take 6 hours though. At 1x it should take no more than 74 minutes. Try creating an image from CDRWIN, and see how long this takes. You should be able to burn from the image at 4x in less than 20 minutes.
Reading is the challange. Keep in mind that although the graphic information is actually data, it is stored in an audio track which lacks the level of error correction that data tracks have. Therefore it must be read at much slower speed than data to avoid the errors.
