jesseg31 Jan 19, 2002, 09:31 PM in spruce up, in my menu, i have a button, but what do i make it link to? i want it to play the movie (i have the .m2v and .ac3 files i imported) jesseg31 Jan 20, 2002, 06:43 PM both files are named "rushhour2"...can sum1 please help? rishardc Jan 20, 2002, 07:51 PM Very easy. In spruceup click on the media tab, and right click on the empty space below it and click add media asset. Select the M2v file and it will import that file. After it is done since they are both called rushour2 it will automatically import the AC3 file. After that you create your menu's and link a button to the movie to play it, and make the disk. jesseg31 Jan 21, 2002, 12:49 PM what do i make it link to? I ALREADY DID THE OTHER STUFF. i dont know what to make the target. rishardc Jan 21, 2002, 01:41 PM Drag a button over. Right click on a button and it will give you the option of linking it to a movie or a menu. highlight movie, and then you should see rushhour2 in your selection then highlight that, and select chapter 1. Now once burned you just have to press that button and the movie will play. You can put words next to the button like play to make it more descriptive. To do that just click on empty background and then start typing. You can then drag the text over and reposition it near the button. You can't link ext, but you can put text inside of a button if you want. jesseg31 Jan 21, 2002, 09:33 PM thanks man...do u know how to make a button not be the same as the background image? and also how to change the button selection highlighted color? thanks rishardc Jan 21, 2002, 09:43 PM Originally posted by jesseg31 thanks man...do u know how to make a button not be the same as the background image? and also how to change the button selection highlighted color? thanks I'm pretty positive you can't change the color of the buttons directly in the program. You will probably have to photoshop the buttons if you want that to happen. All in all not worth the time and effort. As far as changing the highlighted color. . . thats a good question. There should be a way to do it, but I guess because its a cheap generic program they didn't bother with that option. jesseg31 Jan 21, 2002, 10:28 PM whats a better program then? rishardc Jan 22, 2002, 11:44 AM I don't think you can do the background thing in ANY program automatically. You are going to have to photoshop it no matter what. For better programs check out www.sonic.com. They make a few that are high end, but good luck finding them. I always look for better programs and I find a few high end ones, but I always come back to spruce because of simplicity. Be glad that you can do what you can with it. If you really want to do the background thing then you are going to have to put some work into it. jesseg31 Jan 22, 2002, 01:32 PM i just want to change the button so its not the same as the background. why is that so hard? but how do u do it then? rishardc Jan 22, 2002, 01:49 PM Can you change the color of a picture on a website without editing it in a program like photoshop? No. Its the same principle. Those buttons are files, and it can't change them on the fly. How you actually go about changing it is something your going to have to research. Once again, its not like A) you paid for this program, or B) this program ever made it out of beta. Its a beta program and it does what it has to pretty well. Its very simplistic and has pretty much any basic feature you need to burn a dvd. Basically without putting work into it your screwed as far as what you want to do. |
