And Easy CD Creator 5 Plat - XP say's "I dont like it"....

What should I use now to Backup?

Nero, Clone CD, Blindwrite...i think all these are XP compatible.

Easy CD is also XP compatible... what exactly are you trying to backp??

Just when I tried to reload the software, I formatted the drive..

When I inserted the disk, it said that the version was incompatible with this version of windows????????????

ive got xp pro + Corp files and had the same problem till i installed the updates from www.roxio.com

What do you mean windows xp says i don't like...it won't let u run programs that are win xp compatible??...cuz thinking about upgrading me to xp...cuz i'm sick of the blue screens...but i don't want to make a big mistake upgrading...

Easy Cd really is crap anyways, You should go with Nero or another "Quality" burning software..

dpmanx1: Go for the upgrade man, This is only a little stumbling block, after all, you can always swap back to your original OS.

psibob84: Did that defo cure they prob? I'm downloading now (Hopefully)

Have you tried to install an ASPI layer johnharte as that may cure your issue, but must agree with asmith_84 go for NERO or CLONE CD.

yes they deffinately did.

even worked for my dads which i upgraded to Xp a couple of days ago. (also had to install writer compatability update as well as the XP update as he had a 24x liteon)

psibob84: What's the writer compatability update ? I have a year old phillips, cant remember the model, I'm currently at work, so I cant look at it. Was that specific to the Liteon?

i dont think its specific all i know is ezcd would not recognize the liteon till it was installed.
but i only needed the XP update as it would already work with my HP8200i
