Sega Genesis roms

I was wondering if there was a way to take a Sega Genesis rom and get the music from the game off of it onto my computer. If it is possible, can someone show me how to go about doing this?

Ummm......well.....when i was a kid i used to sit a tape player next to the TV and record from the TV speaker.......lo-fi or what??

Actually....a lot of Genesis (and SNES, Neo Geo etc...) games have a sound test in the option menu whereby you can hear all the music and sound effects in the game. I guess you could record from your soundcard output to a sound editing package of some sort...don't know about the technical details, but surely it's possible??

Oh..forgot to add...you would need a Genesis emulator on your PC...but you probably knew that anyway.
