I'm new to this game and after having a quick read thru', have a few questions seeing as my head is now a bit boxed! :blockhd:

1. Is there no way to do this without investing in new cd writer?

2. Do I just need a cd+g writer? or would it be easier to invest in a new normal cd+g drive as well?

3. Which Yamaha and which Plextor are best value for money? Which ones to avoid?

4. Which application is easiest to use? Which one's to avoid?

5. What discs are best? or will pretty much any do? Which ones to avoid?

:) I think that will do for starters!!

 Cheers

You can do this in mp3 format that doesn't need a cdg recorder/player but they will only play on a comp or on an expensive mp3g player.

2 You have to have a cdg compatible reader/writer inorder to copy cdg's. If your current cdrw doesn't support cdg then you need a new one!

3 Up to personal preference. I use a yammy 8424 wiv no probs at all.

4 again personal choice. I use playcdg for cdg disks and pro cdg for playing ripped mp3g files.

5 depends on your player really. Which ones will it play. As a rule of thumb use quality disks for the best copies.

Cheers Danny!! Just clarify couple of things for me please! which application is best and easiest for burning discs! rough average price for burner! and looking to play them on kareoke disc machine (as in a kareoke DJ has asked me to backup his original discs) so whats my best option... he will buy the burner if its reasonably priced!
