To play DVD-R's start up your machine with nothing in the drive, press eject to get the tray open.. pop in your DVD-R, hit reset and AS SOON as the lights come back on on the buttons, hit it again... your DVD will boot :) Bear in mind you'll have to do this when you want to watch DVD original movies as well! wod_uk Apr 19, 2002, 10:41 AM psx cdrs & imports - double reset ps2 cdrs & dvdr's (including original imports) - single reset dvd movies (if dvd drivers are 2.10) - double reset jzmjr15 Apr 19, 2002, 10:41 AM so how does the ps2 cdrs boot??? thanks Backstar Apr 19, 2002, 10:50 AM Jjmjr15, its just one click of the reset for any cdr or dvdr ps2 game. moddogs Apr 19, 2002, 12:07 PM Hopefully, my post can straighten out the confusion. PSX Games: If you have a US/NTSC machine, here's the procedure: Eject tray, place original or backup in tray, press and hold eject and while the tray is closing, press reset 3 times quickly, tap, short pause, tap, short pause, and tap. (I recommend 3x because sometimes I get red screens with 2x). Release the eject button when PS logo appears in correct color. PS2 Import originals/backups, original or backup CDR/DVDR: Insert media, and press reset 3x quickly. Game should load. PSM2 Apr 19, 2002, 12:21 PM why hold eject???
