My parents are giving me a laptop for college, and i can't decide which one to get. maybe i can see your opinions here then i can decide. These are my choices the Sony Vaio PCGGRX570 or the Toshiba Satelite 5105S607.

Features of the Sony Vaio
A 1.6GHz Intel Pentium 4 processor, 512MB DDR SDRAM memory, and 40GB hard drive, 16.1” UXGA screen, 10BASE-T/100BASE-TX Ethernet port and V.90 modem, and combo CD-RW/DVD drive

Features of the Toshiba Satelite
combo CD-RW/DVD drive, 10/100 Ethernet port, 40GB hard drive, 512MB memory and ultra-fast 1.7GHz Intel® Pentium® 4 processor, 15” UXGA display, and nVidia GeForce4 440 Go graphics card.

Personally, I think a Sony Laptop kicks booty :D



However, the statistics show here that the Toshiba has greater features than the Sony Laptop.

My gut feeling will go with a Sony, they never failed me :tup:

Plus they look cooler too!, in college ain't that what really matters,lol :p

Thanks for the imput. I guess i might consider getting a sony then. unless there are other opinions. DohDoh i really don't know how to place those register marks, i just did some cutting and pasting. I believe u use alt and some numbers.

i'd go with the sony as well but i don't have any experience with toshiba laptops

cool, how did u know it was Alt+0174, do u have a book on all that. yeah i guess i will decide to go with the sony laptop then. i was gonna go with the toshiba though. but after all the support for Sony®, i'm going with them. I also hear that they have a Sony one at 1.7mhz for $3000. i guess i'll squeeze the dough out of my parents.

i wont care about the spec m8 sont laptop are the bes out of them all now using my 3th to type this. ive had about 6 or 7 laptops on over times and would never personally use another make. go with the sony you cant go wrong, and if anything does sony has the best customer servies out then all. lol go for the sony m8
