Have you tried some different burning software? Or try updating what ever you are using at the moment.

maybe you should get this programme called "End it All" this programme closes all the programmes that I are running in the back ground that the computer does not need , I haev downloaded it and it made a great differance to my buring speeds

try searching google for it

ps: you sure that you have not just choosen to burn at a slower speed?

If you've not checked the ASPI layer, go here http://www.cyrus.troy.btinternet.co.uk/downloads.htm to download ASPI Check. If ASPI Check reports the ASPI layer is not properly installed, get Force ASPI on the same webpage to update it.

Also go back to "Device Manager" and un-check the "sync data transfer" boxes on your CD/CDRW drives, there is no need for them to be checked, just DMA, Auto insert notification and Disconnect boxes should really be checked. Also make sure that your "drive letter" is selected on the same settings tab for all CD/CDRW drives.
