now i am NOT asking help in how to burn this, but i would like to know more about the protections on this game.

I know it has Safedisc 2 and therefore a patch similar to Red Alert 2 would suffice, however this doesnt seem to work.

There seems to be two more copyright protection methods used, one which i think can determine between an original disc and a cd-r disc.

Any more info on this?

Newer versions of SD2 can detect a copy running in a CD burner.. The solution is either to not run it in a burner or use something like Clone CDs hider CDR function...

The only other protection that I can think of, is more of a bug than a protection, you need to run the game in the drive which you installed it in.

thanks for that, but surely there's a patch that can override the detecting phase?
