I hope that there is anyone out there that can help me with this problem.
My HP9100c won't burn or format 80 min CDRW. It is no problem with 80 min CDR or with regular 74min CDRW. I have tried Nero, Clone-CD and some other programs, but it won't work in any of them. Tried to format these CDRW:s in a another CDRW and they works fine, no problems at all.
My conclusion is that it has somthing to do with my drivers for this HP9100c. I use Windows 2000 as operating system.
Any suggestions?

Strange as i have the same burner and have done both on many 80min/700MB CDRW's
This being so the only conclusion I can reach is that your burner doesn't like this particular brand of CDRW, so try another. And you might run through this list once, but I doubt it is any of these.

btw what version of DirectCD or another Packet app are you using for formatting etc?

I'm using a 9110i hp burner, now i've only just bought some new cdrw as i dont use them very often but i'm backing up my files ready for sorting out my hard drives, anyway i can't find an option for formatting the new disks..do i need to install direct cd.... all i have installed for cdrw is the standard win xp setup, i didnt install direct cd as i seem to recall you ghad to uninstall it to use nero or some other burning prog.
any info is appreciated

Testarossa, :)
Do u mean ERASE or FORMAT/PREPARE?
If FORMAT/PREPARE then read:
Formatting utilities are a waste of time. Collect the nessesary data needed to burn to CD i.e. 650-700 Megs and then write/burn a CD. Why all of this Packet writing. Packet writing messes around with the normal writing programs even if they are from the same company.
Good Luck.
If u really want to use Packet writers then i guess we , here , will have to figure out a way to help u.
