my copy of silver doesn't work, it freeze after the infogames intro. the screen goes to black. i found a patch for pal version, but mine is a US DC, and i don't know if the patch will work. can anyone tell me how to fix it?

Hey Fisherman.... it's funny you mention this.... cause we must have the same version.... I tried burning this about 3 times last night getting the black screen every time........ after the loading MPEG screen as you see on every DC game........ it goes black and doesn't load.... the filename I have is GT_SILVER ........ I believe it has something to do with the country protection on an NTSC DC..... but I don't know how to fix it..... I am trying to find it out and will let you know when I do........ grrrrrrrr don't usually have problems burning games!!!!

By the way.... the patch off of the megagames site makes it 1 session...... I didn't try burning it but I doubt it will work since it is 1 session

yea, we got the same version, and under the sega screen there is a Genesia Team loco right? is there any patch that we can use?

Yeah.... we definately have the same version......... to answer your question.... I don't think there is a fix for it YET.... however I am trying to find that out.....

which version is it ? maybe the kal-sil.xxx version ?

I found out that the version that we have only works on a PAL TV and that is why we are getting the black screen...

The version I have is GT_SILVER.rar

I am sure there is a way to fix it so it works on an NTSC tv but I am not sure how???

To tell you the truth... I am doubtful it will work but I guess it is worth a try....... I have had problems with other games flipping and that patch didn't work...... but who knows??? I may also give it a try..... let me know what you come up with.

My bad fisherman....... this patch is for PAL games...... it fixes them so it doesn't switch to 50hz (PAL) games and switces it to NTSC.... little confusing the way it reads though..... looks like we have to find another way........

this might not be of any help, but i was able to get working the kalisto release of silver for my ntsc dreamcast. i was even able to use bin2boot to make it selfbootable. u might try downloading that version

i guess the only version works is the Kalisto version. mine is call GT_SILVER.rxx. so the best method for me is to delete and forget about it. i gave up, happydirk, any sucess?

Hey Fisherman....... I havent had any luck ...... I have been working on something with someone and they say they can make a patch but I haven't heard anything....... if they can I will make sure to tell you.......

What I did is burned all the rars on to a CDR and deleted it off my hard drive to save space....... don't trash it just yet...... as there always may be a way.........

alright, i will just save the rar in the hd, it takes up like 580 mb. i think the easier way would be just download the kalisto version. because it should work fine with ntsc dc.

I've finally finished downloading the Kalistio-Version of Silver (kal-sil.001) and it doesn't work either. The screen goes black after the mpeg-sign....

Good news, the fix worked :)

That was hard work, but the game looks beautiful and I think it was worth it.

I applied the patch with PPF-O-MATIC v2.0 - by Icarus/Paradox and burned it on a 80min CDR. I used Fireburner to burn.

Remember, I got the kal-sil Version and my DC is Japanese but it still works.

my version is GT-silver, and i apply the patch in dccopyworld.com and it still doesn't work.

I just checked www.Isonews.com and there is no GT-Version of Silver. Since "our" versions crashed at the same point, it could be the kal-sil and the dude who uploaded it has just renamed the files.

so do ur version have Genesia Team in the sega screen, if it does, then we have the same version.
