has anybody bought PS2 games from hong kong and had problems booting them? if so please let me know or tell me how to boot them. thanx!

If you mean dvd silvers then YES.I think it's just luck if you get a game that boots as there is no special way to boot them(just like dvdr).
For some games that have a slight freezing problem sit the ps2 in it's vertical position and rock the ps2 backwards and forwards(not hard but not soft)and it should un-freeze. This happened to me in mgs2 but got worse as it got through the game(got as far as shell1)
dvd-r to me are better but you might be lucky as there are cheaper.
