Question: Does the posting policy say? "This site does not permit the posting of content, questions or advice regarding serials, cracks, warez, pornography, stolen software, or links to sites containing such content. Inappropriate and off topic posts will be deleted immediately. Repeat offenders will be banned from using these forums."
If the above is the posting policy why is it that when people ask questions about a pirated version of Windows XP they are given instructions on how to use? I realize that this is an unpopular question but I believe I need to ask it.
Thanks
gran_turismo3 Apr 28, 2002, 02:41 AM and this is a commercial application
Harry O Apr 28, 2002, 10:47 AM No commercial versions of XP are available legally by download unless you have an MSDN subscription. If you have an MSDN subscritiption then you certainly do not need instructions on how to burn an iso as the instructions are posted on the site not to mention that MSDN does not call their download a "devilownz"
Hoss Apr 30, 2002, 08:18 AM Well Harry we have always walked a fine line around here, and while you could consider it ....ahh what's the word I'm looking for?...(mind goes blank)'whishy-washy' ..'hypocritical' We have never said you couldn't know or learn how to copy these things.
No law against that (knowlege)...and until someone hastles us about it, we'll leave things alone.

jdesan Apr 30, 2002, 09:17 AM New here. Just what is an ISO file? What's it used for, why is it needed, etc. Is it related to CDs only? Thanks

astra12 May 01, 2002, 09:16 PM What is The Devils Own or whatever anyway, whats the difference between that and a genuine version.
celtic_druid May 01, 2002, 10:28 PM and brinkster is banned, banned, banned.
Well actually you can have a weeks suspention.. But with your attitude I am sure that it will become perminant.
"Devils Own" is the name of the crew who released the ISO. It is a corperate version and therefor no activation.
astra12 May 02, 2002, 08:39 AM Thanks for that celtic_druid.
