so HOW do you backup a playstations game-CD on your PCs CDROM- RW drive?

If you don't have a dvd rom drive you will not be able to read ps 2 games that are on DVD disc. To burn a dvd game you need to rip it because you cannot fit that much info on a 700mb cdr. But, if your talking about psx games not being recognized by your drive then I don't know what to tell you. Although, any standard cdrom drive should recognize a psx disc.

Well, your CD should be able to read the PS/PS2 CD games...if youi can't, something is wrong w/ the CDROM

Maybe you could give a little more info on what's happening with your computer. When you say your cd-rom not recognize the disc is it giving you any error messages? What are you using for burning software? Any info like that will help!

I got a mitsumi 6x24x cdrw using winoncd 3.6

pc is a P2-333 runnig win98se.

when i put in some p/s cd's my o/s dont auto load it,
an my cdrom s/w says 'unrecognised format' upon trying to read it for copying.

to update here - its come to my notice that certain cdrom s/w does not read video-game cd's, in which case you wouldnt be able to backup them with it:(

so what s/w recognises all video-game formats?...

use cdrwin - extract cd (extract sectors on cdrwin menu)to bin/cuefile and once thats done, burn
