Thanks for looking...

I'm having some problems trying to get Nero to overburn CDs. The problem is, it wont let me.

As far as I know, I have enabled overburning properly - I went to "Expert Features" in the preferences menu and ticked the box saying "Enable overburn." I set the maximum CD length to 82 minutes, as that is what my CDs will go to.

When I try to burn a compilation that is just over 700MB, it aborts burning because it says there is not enough space on the disc.

My CD writer is a Lite-On LTR 16102B, and supposedly supports overburning.

I have version 5.5.4.2 of Nero.

If any of you nice people could tell me what to do, I would be most grateful :)

Thanks.

The latest version of Nero is 5.5.8.0. Maybe downloading that will fix your problem?

Are you sure that your burner supports over burning, and more importantly are you sure that the disks do?

Nero definitely says my drive supports overburning, it says on the bit where you choose the recorder to use.

I used a program called Nero CD Speed to do an overburning test, and it said my CDs go to around 82 minutes.

I'm downloading the Nero update now, so I'll let you know how I get on.

Thanks.
