I have a 19" Proview Monitor it is a cheap one but mostly works OK.
When I try to play a game though the screen just goes black.
I can hear the game in the background but cannot see anything.

yes I have the latest drivers installed for the monitor
yes I have the latest drivers installed for the Graphics card
No its not the power supply from the pc(monitor is independant)
Yes I have turned off power saving(I always do)
I have dabbled with the BIOS settings but to no avail.

Any help would be appreciated

I nearly bought one of these monitors, from p.c. world for £149 !
Doesnt sound like the monitors bad, looks like it could be a Graphic card problem.
Try adjusting the settings for the graphic card. Try adjusting your hardware acceleration setting & maybe your refresh rate. REMEMBER YOUR ORIGINAL SETTINGS!!
Do any games work ? Or no games work at all ?

if you are using `via` 4 in 1 drivers then updateing to latest
version = 4.38(2)v(a) may do the trick. i had the same problem running dungeon siege until i upped

Updated these drivers still no good
