I got a dc as part of that "ultimate pack" in nov 01. Admittedly i hadn't intended or heard of how easy it was to play back ups.

Mine plays them fine- my bro went a bought one as well and his works as well and he bought his earlier this month.

Apprently there is a date sticker somewhere on the bottom of your dc but i can't find it on mine- all i know is that mine works thank god!!

no you don't need a mod chip.. and the best, fastest, and cheapest way, and probably only way you'll be playing backups by tomorrow, is to download them. Don't pay money for backups.

Green chips work well, but I prefer yellow :)

there is no chip needed to play backups, also there is no selling of games here, or requesting of games.
