PAL and NTSC

I have two questions first up:
I downloaded a PAL\NTSC Selector patch from Mega Games for Breath Of Fire 4 and i would like to know how to choose between the PAL and NTSC modes. I have patched the game but when i run it everything goes normally.

Second, if I have a PAL version of a game and an NTSC save, (The PAL game wont read the NTSC save), and I use a PAL\NTSC selector on the PAL game and then select NTSC mode (or whatever) can I get it to read the NTSC save? All help appreciated.

First off, if you applied the patch correctly, you should be prompted about which mode you desire before the game starts. Sorry, the selector only affects video output, not the version of the game, you'll have to have a PAL save file to use with your PAL game. I know that cheatcc.com has save files, but I think it may be only NTSC, if so then this information is useless to you :D but you can check around and find another site, I'm sure somebody's got them.
