im ready to format my pc,

im useing w98 se at the moment buy have other os i can choose

ive used win-xp but had problems with connecting to online games thats why i went back, to to w98 se, plus alot of programs are incomatable with xp.


what would you suggest out of these,

w98
w98 se
win me
win 2000 pro
win-xp pro

I use windows xp pro and have no proplems with it, but the other best os is windows 2000 pro (sp2).

please dont say it is crap for games cos aslong as you have all the required updates etc it is one of the best, infact some of the no#1 scores from 3dmark2k1 are based on windows 2000 pro platforms

stick with 98 or 2000 sp2

This is dangerously close to being a consumer opinion :D

Personally i''d say if you don't need enormous stability stick with 98SE since you know all your stuff works with that. If you want something more stable you can always dual boot with 98SE on one partition and XP on another - best of both worlds!
