Well windows comes with an address book, called Address Book.

Have you tried that? It introgrates with outlook express and outlook XP.

Yes the address book can do all that (I don't work for MS by the way!).

It holds their address, name, contact info. I find it very useful.

Just use Excel and password protect your workbook. When you have a load of contacts, Autofilter and Sort will be powerful tools..
