HOW TO MAKE A MOVIE OVER 4.5GB FIT A DVD-R/RW GUIDE
N.B for the movie only
I have tried this several time’s only on region one dvd’s & it works for me on my CYBERHOME 528, PLAYSTATION 2, YELO 800 & on my M8’s Dansai 852
It involves lowering your movie file bit rate to be able to fit to a 4.7gb DVD-R.

You will need the following software:
Win2k or Xp with HD converted to NTFS
Smartripper (or DVD decrypted)
ReMPEG2
Ifoedit
Vob merger or file merger.

1. Extract the movie files Only (include the main ifo file.)
2. Create a temp sub folder in the Video_ts folder. I.e. c:\video_ts\merge
3. Fire up file/vob merger.
4. Select all movie vob’s and merge to one file.
5. Fire up ReMPEG2 select tab Main. Under this section open your merged vob’s. ReMPEG2 will now create a log of the file. (This will take time depending on the speed of your pc.)
6. After it has finish doing the log, click option tab and choose the following 3 settings only. A. Bit rate scale factor take to 60%
B. Output resolution 352 x 576
C. Fame mode: match source.

7. Back to main tab. Now selected encode. Now choose name and save in
Your temp sub folder. i.e. C:\video_ts\merge\superman. This will now create a
M2v file.
This will take some time!!!!

Once that is done create another temp folder within the video_ts folder i.e. c:\video_ts\newdvd & fire up Ifoedit.

8. Open the VTS.01.0.ifo movie file you ripped with your movie files.
9. Select the Vob’s Extra’s button. And check the following.

A. Re-mux
B. Correct vob unit.
C. Remove P-Uops
D. Corrected IFO tables.
E. Create new video_ts.
F. Select directory to save. DO NOT CHANGE the vts file name.
G. M2v file to re-mux. Navigate to where ReMPEG2 created the file. Now click OK. Ifoedit will now do its thing. Save everything & also save a BUP when asked.(don’t forget to make it region free)

10. Your temp folder (video_ts\newdvd should now contain the following: (example)

Video_Ts (ifo file)
Video_Ts.bup
Vts_01_0.ifo
Vts_01_1.vob
Vts_01_2.vob
Vts_01_3.vob
Vts_01_4.vob
Vts_01_5.vob

11. Now open your newly created Ifo’s starting with Vts_01_0.ifo (Example) main Ifo
File.
12. Now run get VTS SECTORS and save over the IFO.
13. Do the same with the VIDEO_TS. Ifo

Finally go to your ripped folder & remove all the files except the 2nd temp sub folder C:\video_ts\newdvd. Now move the entire files from that folder in to the main video_ts folder & remove the temp folder. Your folder should be a follows Example. C:\video_ts

Video_Ts (ifo file)
Video_Ts.bup
Vts_01_0.ifo
Vts_01_1.vob
Vts_01_2.vob
Vts_01_3.vob
Vts_01_4.vob
Vts_01_5.vob

Now burn to your dvd-r/rw using Data UDF mode
