View Full Version : cannot remove win 98 since my new mother board went in???HELP! [; ; win98]

HI GUYS !!my pc was the victim of a bad storm and it blew my psu and motherboard, the engineer from pc world who fixed it ,said alll i need to do is run win 98 back over the top to make windows98 work once again.
so i turn on the computer and .......a warning appears 'your adapter is not configured or may not be compatable please press ok to continue' then it crashes or sometimes not??? it will let me in sometimes so i can got to the control panel'where i have tried to change the adapter but it wont let me man?????????i have no boot disk and it will not let me create one it just wont let me
the screen is really bad qualityand some times it wont load at all how can i format it ?????
how can i end this nitemare??

get a bootdisk from here and boot from this then format c:

Boot in safe mode, that will not load the drivers, do the changes and restart.
