when i right click on C:\windows to the properties it tells me that windows is 1.6 Gb... That's very very large... I know you guys would say to format the hardrive to reinstall but is there a good program i can download that would help me clean windows and all the files that are not necesary?

That's nothing abnormal. Mine is 1.26GB. :)

If you want, you can clean up the Windows\Temp folder and reduce the size of your Temporary Internet Files folder.

hey mine is over 6 gig,it just depends what you have installed

If you want it to be smaller check

c:\windows\temp
c:\windows\tempory internet files
c:\windows\desktop (got any large downloads on your desktop?)
