I have a TDK 16/10/40X burner and it should work copying safedisc 2 games but it does not. I have the 5.32 firmware and use the latest version of clonecd but it still fails to create a perfect copy. I could use your help, THANKS.

it may be better to go to this forum www.welcome.to/cloneclinic
if you register there you can use the forum and ask your question.
clone is 1 of the best for backing up as you may know. try that forum you should find your answer there,or here there is a games forum they may know there.colin

I thought only the TDK 24x did SD2 copies but I could be wrong.
Head over to www.cdrinfo.com and see if John has a review up for that drive as he will have tested it for this.

None of the TDK writers are listed by Clone CD to support "Correct EFM encoding of regular bit patterns" which is required for SD2 copies. Did you try making the copy with or without AWS enabled??

Hi CD well just so's ya know the new 24x b model TDK is now the LiteOn so it will :)
The trick in telling for sure is the "Writeproof" label (I think that's right) as it's exclusively LiteOn's trademark

I got a TDK 161040x.. It can't make perfect copies of SD2.. But you can still make perfectly good copies of SD2 games... Just email me and I'll send you a copy of an easy guide to copy SD2.. It works for me everytime.. No special hardware needed.. All you need is HDD space and a Compilation program such as Nero..
PS: Try using the amplify weak sectors option with Clone CD.. You'll need it..
