View Full Version : Every time I delete a file, It says it being used by someone ?? [Gateway; ; winXP]

LLcoolK May 04, 2002, 07:13 AM Evere since I installed Winowx Xp pro, sometimes when I try to delete a file it tells me that it's being used by a program or someone else. Or when I disconnect it says that some peeps are on my computer and If I disconnect They will used any unsaved info??? All my networking for Xp is turned off and I scanned for viruses but can't find anything, can anyone give me some info?? Roger Moore May 04, 2002, 07:15 AM It sounds like you have installed File and Print sharing. Do you have any firewalls running? Are you sharing any drives? Are you on a network? What is the name of the file you are trying to delete? Roegr Matt May 05, 2002, 12:57 PM I've had that with a few files, mostly avi's. The only way I could delete them was to boot into Win 98 and delete them from there.
