rqms May 06, 2002, 05:37 AM i am using the on board graphics, which can use upto 32mb of system memory, however it is only using 8mb at the moment, how do i increse this to 32mb, i have all the latest updates from msi, any help would be appreciated, many thanks

duffy90210 May 06, 2002, 12:25 PM I would guess you really have 384MB of memory onboard, and the VGA is now sharing 8MB from the total, the memory size for onboard VGA are normally set in the BIOS, Direct-X and video drivers really has not much link with the memory size.
Try looking in the BIOS setup, they are normally hidden under the options.

rqms May 06, 2002, 02:33 PM sorted - finally found it in the bios, frame buffer size, now using the full 32mb, you would not beleive the number of times i have been through all the bios settings, we all live and learn - many thanks to those that took the time to help me out - whos a happy boy then
