I am a BTOpenworld DSL user, and whenenver it disconnects it makes me click a reconnect button even if i have auto reconnect enabled!
Can anyone recomend any dialup software that will auto connect when the line is disconnected? and will bypass the clicking reconnect? (No Download Managers)
Or does any other BTOpenworld DSL user know a way round this?
Thanks

If you are on ADSL you should never have to re-connect. XP does this automatically and if you have auto reconnect enabled then it should do it.
The more important question is, why are you getting kicked off?

I don't know why it does disconnect me, but it has a couple of times.
I leave my comp connected 24/7 as i fserve on EFnet, and looked at the screen the next morning to see that it has disconnected a couple of times!
There is a box saying reconnect or cancel.
It reconnects if i click either, because i have auto reconnect on, but this box somehow stops it from doing so by itself?

Sure it's not mIRC that's disconnecting and not the actual dsl ?
If it is the DSL
I would call your ISP and speak your mind.

Your connection may be set up to disconnect when idle. I think this is the default setting when you install BT-ADSL. You can change it to stop it doing this. I've done this with my BT ADSL connection & it does not disconnect now.
To do this in XP:
Start\Programs\Accessories\Communications\Network connections
Right click on your ADSL connection & select properties
On the options tab change "Idle time before hanging up" to never & click OK.
