Alright I had just started using Kazaa and was loving it. Only problem is after there new service agreement my school no longer allows its use in the labs. We are free to use it in the dorm rooms, the only problem is that when they set up the firewall to block its use in the labs it seems to have done the same for everywhere on campus. Is there anyway I can get around this?

Can you maybe change the port it uses? I think there is an option somewhere.

Roger Moore - (if thats your real name Mr. Bond ;) ) is right, try to change the port. I don't know how strict you college/uni staff are but they won't take to kindly to finding workarounds for their network and firewall. You've been warned...

Thats what the administrator who set up the wall said i need to do but in Kazaa I don't see an option to change just the port. The only option I see is to use a socks5 proxy and it asks for IP and port. One suggestion the admisistrator also gave was to try to set up my machine as a proxy server than telling kaza to connect thru it. Would this idea work running my machine as a proxy server and connecting thru it....

Do you know how the firewall is setup? At our school, all filters, and firewalls run through a proxy server. It wouldn't even let me check my email, so disabled the proxy, but still got internet.

I'm not sure of exactly how the firewall is set up. I know that the administrator said they blocked Kazaa by blocking the port it uses and if I could find a way to get it to use another port that it most likely would work. Anyone have any suggestions

You could always use another download manager.

I know you can change the port in Morpheus Preview Edition. Its default is 6346 but you can change it to what ever you like.

So far Kazaa has worked the best for me. Are there any other programs out there that can do video, programs, music, and are as popular as Kazaa.
