CAVS Decoder CDG converts MCG to BIN

Decoder CDG (http://www.cavsusa.com/playcdg_home/decoder_cdg.htm#Download) converts the MCG files of CAVS into standard BIN files of CD+G disc. This means for all the CD+G songs you have in MCG file format, you can convert the files into standard BIN files, and from the BIN files, create your own custom-made CD+G discs*. Decoder CDG is a powerful tool awaited by many for professional authoring and now available for your download.

*To write the BIN files into CD+G discs, you will require an additional disc writing program such as CDRWIN (available free of charge for 1x writing) at www.goldenhawk.com.

a friend of mine who is a 'beta tester' (he gets new software on trial in exchange for feedback) has had this on trial recently, he says he wont be buying it

I can understand for the price (plus he already has a Beta copy). ;) There was some interest in this expressed here recently however. It seems some have been burned by purchasing CAVs MP3+Gs which include .mcg instead of .cdg files assuming they could burn them to CD+G. This software will now make that possible and salvage their investment. They should supply it free for purchasers of their non-standard MP3+Gs (or at least once a certain amount are purchased). They would possibly earn more pprofits by "giving away the shaver and selling the blades." :idea:
