I'm encountering one of the weirdest problems w/ my new CD RW drive. When I first put a CD into it, it seems to work just fine (auto run works). After I leave the drive idle for awhile, however, my computer starts slowing down drastically, although the CD RW drive shows no signs of reading anything. This slow down does not stop until i take the CD back out. The same thing happens w/ any CD I put in... Another thing is that this problem doesn't seem to occur as long the CD RW drive is active in doing something, such as playing an audio CD. I only slows down my computer after i've left it idle for about 5 minutes. Can someone tell me how I can fix this problem??? Any help is much appreciated :)

Mastermind,
My CD r-w is a sony crx175a1, and i have CD-Maker Plus installed. I haven't tried burning anything yet, however, since this problem makes it inconvenient for me to leave a CD idle in the drive.
