I have an ATI Radeon 7000 TV-OUT video card in my PC. Hooked it up to the TV, went into Advanced Display properties and set to display to both TV and monitor. This works I can see the Windows desktop on the TV, but when I try to display movies, this could be MPEGs, AVIs, Video CDs, they do not display on the TV, it displays on the monitor but the tv just displays a black box where the movie should be playing? Any ideas why?

My PC Specs:

Pentium III 766
512MB RAM
ATI Radeon 7000 TV-OUT
Windows 2000 Professional sp2

Thanks in advance!

tvtool is only for nvidia cards, won't do any good for radeon.

What you need to do is have BOTH the monitor and television as PRIMARY display. In other words, do not clone the display to the television. Have both on at primary. It should work then, it's some sort of bug in the drivers.

Alternatively, you can turn on the theater-out mode of the card and have any video overlays automatically displayed on the television at fullscreen. If you don't have this option available in the display properties, I suggest installing the modified drivers up at www.omegacorner.com . This, in my opinion, is the best function of the radeon.
