Anyone out there know how to turn off the auto-insert notification for my DVD drive in XP. I knew how to do it with 98 but XP doesn't have the same type of device manager.

use tweak ui, i can mail it to u if u don't have it, it was used for 98 and is on the win98 cd, but does work on xp as well! mail me if u have any probs m8

Go to My Computer. Right click on the drive & select Properties. Second tab in is the autoplay feature.

if you want to turn auto insert off completely run rgedit.msc click on administrative templates folder and then system - on the right you will see the autoplay disable option double click to change its status :-)
