I have one of the anti-MIL dreamcasts and I keep creating coasters when I try to convert a self boot CDI with the audio track first to one with a data track first. I keep getting coasters which won't boot. I know my dreamcast will do the 2XA data boot because it'll boot NFL2K2 and NBA2K2 which are in this format. I'm tired of getting coasters, can someone point me in the right direction. Here's what I'm doing...

1. Cdirip file.cdi /iso (file.cdi = audio self boot cdi.)

2. isofix tdata02.iso 11702 (11702 is the output from the second session in cdirip)

3. isobuster fixed.iso (rip all file contents to a directory)

4. rename bootfile.bin to ip.bin and copy to ripped directory

5. mkisofs -C 0,0 -V "Game name" -l -o BOOTCD.ISO ripped_dir (create an iso of the directory)

6. bin2boot bootcd.iso

7. burn the resulting image.cdi in diskjuggler 3.5 with default settings.

I've also tried the following which doesn't work.

1. Cdirip file.cdi /iso (file.cdi = audio self boot cdi.)

2. isofix tdata02.iso 11702 (11702 is the output from the second session in cdirip)

3. bin2boot fixed.iso (have bin2boot insert an ip.bin)

4. burn the resulting image.cdi in diskjuggler 3.5 with default settings.

No luck at xeal.cjb.net. There's no info there on the anti-copy cd's. Anybody else have any ideas?

I need help with the exact same problem and can't find anything that works.

I got nba/nfl2k2 to work great, but other games will not work using the procedure from the normal echelon guide that is out there for fixing CDI's to work with the newer dreamcasts.

I would really appreciate some help on this one too.

I figured it out there's nothing really wrong with the method I was using it's just that disk juggler wasn't working. It would say it was burning the disk okay, but the disk then wouldn't work. Just use the second method I have listed above and then use the lastest version of cdi2nero on the file and burn the nrg with nero.

steps.....

cdirip filename.iso
isofix tdata02.iso lba# (from second session)
bin2boot fixed.iso (have it insert an ip.bin and point it at the boot binary)
cdi2nero image.cdi
