I have The One and Kiss the Dragon both in AVI format at about 700MB a piece. I am planning to try and put these both onto DVDR. So I have started by rencoding The One.avi to an Mpeg2 m2v file using TMPGENC. All seemed ok but when I play the resulting m2v file in WMP it is 3:29 long and is all just black image from the end of the movie which is at about the 1:20 mark.

Any ideas??

Also I am sure I just havn't looked hard enough but cannot seem to find a good tutorial for AVI to DVDr. I am assuming just use TMPGENC and the DVDr format to get my m2v file. Use TMPGENC or Virtual DUB to get my ac3 stream from the AVI and then do the usual spruceup authoring? Sound right??

Also I read some issues with playing VCD converted to DVDr in a PS2 that is skips alot and that just not using a menu will get around this?? Is this correct??

Fixed it. I just cut 99% of the avi file with VirtualDub and then used TMPGENC and it worked a treat!
