im new in here .. so first a big hello to all the members .. ur bord is the best out there !!!

now to the question ... with all the knowledge from the board i finally manage it to rip (trough bba) and patch and burn (as selfboot) a lot of my dc-originals and the originals from a friend.

but (why has there always to be a but ??) some katana games wont boot correctly and get black screend or jump to the sega menu after the first boot part (sega logo) games that have the problem so far are : f355 challange, soul calibur, unreal, msr

msr behaves a lot more ugly ... first it boots .. the the intro starts up .. and THEN it splashes back to the sega menu *grrrr*:furious:

it thought this could be fixed with the GDROM Protection Cr...-Katana (hack3 1st_read.bin 0) command .. but this doesnt work ... so i tried the hack4 method (dont really know the rigt settings so i tried all (hack4 -n -0 -1 -2 -3 -p -w) but this wont help too

so for now im in big trouble ... :(

hmmm anybody out there with a new idea ???

i think ill try some patches i found ....
they have to be applied with ppf-o-matic
but i thought id managed this 11700 to 11702
thing out with the use of binhack ???

am i completely wrong or is there another copy protection ???

there are some people who have successfully ripped some or the games you are talking about

to krucial: i burn at 16x (i know this is very courageous, but most of my backups worked very well, exept the one with the blackscreereebot problem) :)

what do u think of gdhack ??? read something about this and would try this out .... but now ill better try the settings from mitsus site ....
