View Full Version : GHOST 2002 and WINXP - anyone use both successfully

hi , i have xp instaled and ghost but i have still to back up my OS , i just was wondering if there are any problems using ghost 2002 and xp , i dont want to back up my OS and then discover there are problems when i go to restore , so can anyone reassure me it will work ok ?

Just make sure you get all the patches and updates before you do it, you should be ok.

thanks for that m8 , all my norton updates are installed bang up to date so everything should be ok , as far as that article says its fully compatable , thats all i need to know , cheerz .

is there a facility to create a floppy boot disk for xp like you can do with 98/me ?

If so how is it done .

You can't make them you have to download them.

are those setup floppys it creates only for setting up xp , or is it also like me boot disk that had help files etc ?

I don't know as I haven't used them.

I'd have said they are boot disks, with loads of drivers and help files.

You can get into dos (of sorts) by booting from the XP setup cd. Take the option for the recovery console (you need the administrator pwd). Haven't tried running ghost from it though.
I just have a Win98SE boot disk I use for Ghost.
