Ok for all you traders!

How much will it cost in stamps to send a 2 cds inside a dual case, in a small jiffy bag??

I just stuck a 1st class and a 2nd class on, should that be enough?

and whats if its not?

Many thanks

Yeah, did that before, and that should be enough. I only use 1st class stamps, and I normally use 1 for every 2 CD's sent. So for 4 discs, I use 2 1st class, 6 discs with 3 1st class etc.

Alternatively. you could just go into the post office and ask whether you want the package to be sent 1st class, 2nd class, recorded etc, and they'll do it all for you, after weighing it.

Nah, they shouldn't charge the other person.

i had a letter through my door today from the post office.

someone had posted a parcel with no postage on - i had to go round the post office to pick it up, pay the postage and they even added 50p handling charge.

also any parcels with not enough postage on can be held for up to 3 days,
without notifying the customer as they are treated as second class.

so if there is like a few pence not enough on! will they make a big deal about it?

they sent me a card for a 55 pence surcharge:(

u should really weigh them since the weight of the jiffy bag can make a lot of difference----standard brown 'jiffy' bags weigh a lot more than white 'mail-lite' bags and can make a difference between 41p and 54p postage when sending one cd in a jewel case. I know its only a few pence but like people have said above, it can be annoying if post is held back and treated as second class or u have to pay extra charge (+50p handling).

Always err on the heavy side----better to be right and have happy customers then be wrong and get flamed on the forum!!!

m8 go to royalmail.com they have a table showing the prices for each weight category. Kitchen scales have never been so useful since I began trading :)
