yea m8,

the LOTR SVCD is 45mins per cd and that is encoed at very high bitrate. I think an average of 2100kbit.

I bought a copy of LOTR (4 disc SVCD) at a show - the guy burnt it for me specially. When I got it home it played OK on my computer, so I went to make a backup. With EZCD copier I got a coaster, but it copied fine with Clone CD. Looking in Windows Explorer, the mpg file was 800Mb! How did that get on a 700Mb disc? Also the CloneCD image was 800Mb too, but that still copied onto a 700Mb blank.

Is this some sort of copy protection? Can the file attributes be changed to make it report the correct size?

all vcd/svcd are like that,

they go off the time rather than the size.

plus an image file is allways bigger than the actual data.

Aw'right, cool.

Yeah Clone always makes bigger images than the actual disc, cdrwin makes smaller ones.

Thanx for the replies guys:D
