Any help would be appreciated , i have a paific 750 but every 5 secs or so the sound or picture glitches are there any dvd's that have perfect svcd playback ??

Try the Daewoo DVG G8000D it covers a range of "CD's" it works for me and has had a good write up and value for money

Pioneer dv 444.

Plays anything, VCD, XVCD, SVCD, XSVCD and mp3:)

try the yelo 800, it plays everything and also gives great quality playback

do tesco's or anyone like that sell the cheaper end of the market that will play svcd's ???

bush 2004 does both svcds and vcds £150 inc del at tesco online

Yep, gotta say Yelo800 from amazon. Plays ANYTHING....

tesco's sell the danasi 1010 & 952 if you can find them in your local tesco's

both are very good players, play everthing you want
vcds,svcds,mp3's,dvdr,multiregion

their sell for around 85 - 100 pounds

Cyberhome loves em, will play beermats if they are 5'' and round.

my naiko plays everthing (s)vcd, vcd2.0, vcd3.0, mp3, cd, cdrw, cdr, dvcd, oko, dvdr plays every type or disk white tops, silvers, branded, unbranded, golds, green tops,

also has a macrovision hack, also has smart navi mp3 selection screen.

this one is great

mico classica 80 £100 from sainsburys, region free, macro removed, plays svcd and anything else perfectly, plus spend £100 at sainsburys and get 4p a litre off petrol :D

yeah under where these dvd players are stored in asda there was a label saying "vcd playback has been disabled on this player"
