I am wanting to create a Bulliten board for me & some of my mates. I have got an account with freenetname.co.uk and i have uploaded the directory of the BB Board.

It doesnt seem to work as it comes up with a loada garbage. Is there any way i can install PHP and MySql from my home computer to my webserver with freenetname or do they need to install it for me?

Thankz All Which Respond!

CHMOD is a Unix command, allowing the user to set file properties, ie. Read/Write/Execute, if you are using a FTP software, then you can select the file and the choose CHMOD and a box will open up to allow you to change the file/folder settings.

You can get PHP hosting along with MySQL from http://www.coolfreepages.com/ and CHMOD is a way of chaning file permissions so certain files can execute be read from or be written to. CuteFTP does this as well as Internet Explorer if you right click and click properties.
