worth the money??

I got the 24 speed Liteon from SVP for £55 and I must say its a fine writer, can write and read raw and record up to 99 minutes which I have done succesfully(handy for movies), if you want to save a few quid go buy that one. I doubt you will have 100% success recording at 32 speed anyway

Bought one of these drives only to have it fail four days later - after only 5 cd's.

I took a straight replacement and that works fine although the bundled copy of nero didn't recognise the drive. This was cured by downlading the upgrade version 5.5.7.8 works fine.

have since burnt 40+ cd's without a single failure.
