? re: Rar files and Par files
Ive searched the site, and, i cannot find the answer (Or that i can understand) answer to my question. Im really new at this, and, i dowloaded a movie and, the files are mostly rar and par in a zipped folder? I think.
Do i have to convert, or, Extract these files to make a VCD to play on my dvd player? I dont know what, or if i need some sort of conversion or extracting program, and, i dont know what type of files they must be to play on my player. Also, when it time to burn, do you use Nero, and make a VCD or CD? Thanks

Yes, extract the rar files and a MPEG-1 file should be there for you to burn with Nero.
If you extract the file and it's a AVI then you must convert/encode it with something like TMPGenc to turn it into a MPEG-1 file.

Above is fine if you have enough RAR files, if not then you will need to use the PAR files to reconstruct the missing RAR files. You need 1 PAR file for every missing RAR.

Also, I'm moving this to Open.

to answer the second part, yes use nero, its either gonna be a SVCD or a VCD you need to construct from the MPEG file.
