ZIP Drives
 
anybody own a IOMEGA ZIP 250MB ZIP DRIVE (USB)? any good? is it fast when storing data? as well as using 250MB disks, does it also accept 100MB disks?

The USB powered one means you dont need to carry a bulky power supply around with you, ideal for laptops etc. And yes 100MB disks work in a 250MB drive.

As for speed, i'd say it takes about 3 mins to download 100MB from a 100MB drive to my PC. I think uploading to the drive takes a bit longer but I just leave it and get on with something else. Not sure about 250MB disks as I don't any.
