Ecoding a divx to mpeg
Downloaded a divx movie but I want to make it vcd, but the difference with this divx movie is that I had to d/l a seperate file called AC3 so I could have sound with the movie, so since this is the first time i've done it like this could someone explain how I can encode this movie with sound...

Use HeadAC3e or BeSweet to downmix and encode the AC3 to MP2, then encode your video as per usual and multiplex it with the MP2 stream.

Ok i'm not sure what happening here when I try this but its not working for me, i've got two movie that I d/l neither of them would play with sound unless but the person I got it from told me I needed to d/l AC3 file from him which I did , extracted it and double click registerfilters-2k then both of the movies had sound. So i'm not sure what is meant when ppl say load the ac3 for a particular movie cause I don't seem to have one just a folder called AC3 with 8 items in none of them saying if there for a certain file.

I see, what you have is an AVI with an AC3 stream. You did not download an AC3(you already had it), you simply downloaded the decoder/parser filters so that you could play AC3 AVI's.
