VOB files are generally from ripped commercial DVD movies DVDs or homemade DVDs. Besides VOB files, you’ll find IFO and BUP files inside the VOB folders which contains the features of the DVD movie. If you got an iPhone, say new iPhone 5, one of the things you probably want to do is put VOB movies on it.

It’s a hassle to get all the way to the end only to discover that your movie performs badly on your iPhone 4, which supports higher resolutions than iPhone 3G and iPhone 3GS. I recommend iSkysoft DVD to iPhone Converter for Mac, which provide optimized presets for iPhone 3G, iPhone 3GS, iPhone 4, iPhone 4S, iPhone 5 so you don’t need to worry about the settings and resolutions.
