Default Connect Xbox to Mac?

I was curious if anybody knew how to connect an xbox to my mac so i can download movies to it. I have read about people doing it but i cant figure out. I tried just plugging a phone cable into the back of the xbox and into my Mac but nothing happened (I was pretty sure it wouldnt be so easy). So do i need to purchase some special cable or some program. PLEASE REMEMBER: I am using a mac OSX and running Tiger.

What i want is for my computer to recognize the xbox as a hard drive.
Do i actually have to remove he harddrive out of the xbox and put it into the mac????

you need an Ethernet Cable

If you are connecting to your ethernet port, You need a Crossover Cable
If your connecting through a hub, you need a standard Ethernet cable.

You then need to Download an FTP Prgram (Yummy FTP) for Mac and connect to the IP address of your xbox, (Found in Evolution X)
With the User Name: xbox
and password: xbox
Port: 21

You then copy your movies to either drive;
E:\Video
or
F:\Video

Any queries, dont be afraid to ask "

Regards,
Jack

thnx, ill be sure to pick up a crossover cable.
I also have another question. Will the xbox recognize and play .avi's .mpg's, .mov's, or, .mpeg's or will it just play normal DVDs in VIDEO_TS and AUDIO_TS folders???

You'll have to use a program to play back movie files. I like Xbox Media Center or XBMC as it's commonly called.

Yes, XBMC is a good program..

If you know about IRC Clients, you should be able to grab a copy from;
#xbins on EFnet

Good luck, mate
