Your hardrive is dead.... I would guess your problem has absolutly nothing to do with the chip... If you have an Xecuter then there is only 1 wire, the chances of that coming off are very slim.. I would almost guarantee it was the hdd failing. if the soldiering was done right there is no way for it to just go "bad" it would have been F-ed up from the begining.

go buy a new Xbox take out the harddrive then return it and tell them it didn't work. Let M$ eat it as they should becuase it has nothing to do with the chip.

You do have to get a hdd with the correct # there is 1-4 I believe.

Tries to boot (with a whine)... fails, so flashes Red/ Green

This means the bios are not being read by the xbox... so either yours got erased or your chip is no longer connected correctly.

I had this problem!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Is it the led light flashing the red and green???????

If so, you know the power cord that plugs on the xbox?????

Flip it so it switches pins.


Should work!!! (if thats the case)
