Seriuosly, just press start as soon as the intro comes up! It stops the sound from messing up 100% of the time on my copy of UT, but if I don't press it right away I get a high pitched squealing.

as i said, i'd rather know how to remove the intro. Or at least turn the sound off in it. More than anything else, i'm interested in how it works.

it's hard to put an intro in because its written into the dc game executable file (usually 1st_read.bin) there is no easy way to remove it, just press START when the intro comes up, it'll take you what, 0.2seconds?

Again, i just want to know how. I do appreciate the release groups doing all the work, and i'd leave the visual intro in, but i want the sound out, or i want to insert my own at a much lower volume. And if it can't be done, then i want it gone. Cause sometmes pressing start faster *DOESN'T* work, and i have my game systems hooked into my stereo.

So, if anyone out there has an idea about how to remove intros, edit them, or pull the sound out from them, please respond. But i won't be convinced to just press start.

thank you
